Welcome to ChaiLife, the young social group for the CBI and surrounding Jewish community members in their 20s, 30s, and 40s! Our mission is to build a vibrant community where Jewish singles and couples can connect, support, and inspire each other while deepening their heritage. Our events are thoughtfully planned and oh-so-exciting! From classes to Shabbat services and dinners – there’s never a dull moment at ChaiLife. It’s no wonder our events are some of the most popular Jewish events in the OC! Come join our membership and be a part of the fun.
Shabbat Sha-Home!
Every CBI member has been matched to a host and will be invited to an in-home Shabbat celebration this year: a Friday night dinner, Shabbat lunch, or Havdalah. Hosts and guests have been carefully matched by region and demographics; this is a chance to meet fellow congregants, make new friends , and build our CBI village. Are you interested in more fun and social activities for those of us “of a certain age”? Join us and create programs that are pure fun for those of us who are north of age 65. If you are interested in serving on a committee, or would like to be included in these events, please reach out to Batia Swed (batiaswed@gmail.com) or Phyllis Abrams (phyllisabrams2@gmail.com) within the next couple of weeks. Once we get a core group together, we will set up a meeting to do some planning, determine the frequency of events, decide what we would like to do first, and… most importantly… come up with our name!
