“My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?” With those words our Psalmist expresses despair over the taunts by others and also self references as “but a worm.” The palette of emotions across Psalms is colorful and varied. This Psalm is also contained in our Rosh Hashanah Amidah prayers. Come to examine the artistry of the composition and to find its relevance for our time.
