Dear Friends,
I’m pleased to invite you to join us on Sunday, December 17, 11:45am-12:30pm, to help us celebrate the dedication of the Morasha Sefer Torah which has been repaired.
The scroll was lovingly used for many years at Morasha Jewish Day School until 2009. CBI has been caring for it, but it was badly in need of repair and was not a kosher scroll. It is now ready with new eitz chaim, wood poles, so that we can all enjoy it and learn from it for many years to come.
We will welcome the Sefer Torah with joy, singing and dancing! We will unroll it, so our students can view the sacred text.
Thank you to all who helped with this special project including our donors who helped pay for the Sofer. We are still raising funds so that we can also purchase a new cover for the scroll. Please consider an end-of-the-year donation to this special, sacred cause.
I hope you will join our religious school children for this special dedication ceremony – a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday of dedication, Chanukah!
Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Robin Foonberg
