From Insecure Shepherd to Inspiring Leader: Moses’ Journey
Moses, considered the greatest leader of the Jewish people, goes from Prince of Egypt to simple shepherd to savior of the Jewish people. It is a long and complicated journey. We will explore how Moses learns to trust in himself and his leadership style, and what we can learn from his transformation.

The Jew and The Other: Building Walls and Building Bridges
Constructing a Jewish identity in a modern world is a difficult and complex task. The rabbis of the Talmud spend a great deal of time and energy exploring how one confronts people who are different physically, spiritually or theologically. We will explore several rabbinic perspectives on difference, and attempt to understand the role of the Other in Jewish tradition.

Rabba Yaffa Epstein serves as the Director of Education, North America for the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies. She received Rabbinic Ordination from Yeshivat Maharat and holds a Law Degree from Bar-Ilan University. She has studied at the Pardes Kollel, the Advanced Talmud Institute at Matan and the Talmud Department of Hebrew University. Yaffa has been a teacher of Talmud, Jewish law, and Liturgy at Pardes for over a decade, and has served as the Director of the Beit Midrash at the Dorot Fellowship in Israel. She has taught Talmud and Jewish Law at may institutions, has lectured at Limmud Events around the world, has written curriculum for the Global Day of Jewish Learning and has created innovative educational programming for Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life.
