It is truly remarkable that a handful of songwriters wrote so many standards and most of them were Jewish. Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin, George & Ira Gershwin, and Harold Arlen make up just the “A” list of great songwriters. Join Larry Maurer, a Timeless Melodies Foundation music historian, highlighting the impact of the Jewish culture on the American Songbook with video clips, history and humor.
Larry Maurer has a passion for the history of American music. He founded the Timeless Melodies Foundation for Education Inc. to present colorful, memorable, multi-media education programs about the Golden Age of American music to a wide variety of groups around the country. His unique programs are rich in pictures, video clips, humor, history and most of all, the music that Larry loves to share.
